LAS VEGAS – Photography in the desert

I recently went on a trip to Las Vegas that included everything from shows and tours to time in the desert so I could take some pictures. While on the trip we went out to the Valley of Fire National Park, right outside of Las Vegas and managed to get several pictures of the desert, its wildlife, rock formations and flora. This particular shot is of a wild flower just prior to bloom.Unlike many photographers, I break one of the key rules to digital photography. I dont take a ton of shots. Instead, I take more of an old school film approach in that I look for compositions, look at various angles and pre-visualize my surroundings in an attempt to come up with good looking final images.As always, comments and feedback are GREATLY appreciated </david>
